Iselba Residence Hotel is located in the center of the Gulf of Marina di Campo, in the middle of a pinewood of 20,000 m2, directly on the beautiful white sandy beach.
Iselba Residence Hotel is composed of 39 flats of different sizes, each with independent entry. The apartments are situated on the ground floor with a furnished garden or on the first floor with a furnished terrace, they are perfect for lunch and dinner. Each apartment has modern furnishings and is equipped with dishwasher, satellite TV, telephone, air conditioning, heater, refrigerator, safe, hairdryer and free WIFI connection.
The Residence offers also rooms with bed & breakfast-service.
The large outdoor area is ideal for families with children.
The seafront swimming pool was built in 2019 and offers guests a hydromassage area and a spectacular view of the gulf of Marina di Campo.
The swimming pool is 1.35 meters high and is open in the morning and afternoon (closed from 1pm to 4pm).
The bright, spacious lobby, with view on the island of Monte Cristo, has a reception, a bar, and a library. These facilities are also often used as a meeting point. We offer free Wi-Fi connection in the inside and outside areas (lobby, beach, restaurant, pine forest).
Our guests also get free bicycles (that have to be paid only after 19:00 pm ).
We also offer sports activities: windsurfing school and windsurfing for rent, canoeing, sailing, nearby you can also find a diving school, tennis, yoga, trekking, and mountain-bike tours.
Those who prefer walking in the woods or who love trekking and mountain biking find a rich field here. Covered parking space and private beach are included.
The Residence was originally built as a hotel in 1948 by architect Emilio Isotta – son of the founder of the renowned automobile company Isotta Fraschini – and immediately stood out as a distinguished example of architecture blended with the surrounding nature. A charming setting that attracted a sophisticated clientele from the world of cinema and entertainment: Iselba was frequented by personalities such as Marcello Mastroianni and Giorgio Streheler.
In 1978, the hotel changed ownership and was transformed into a Residence by two-time Compasso d’Oro winner architect Roberto Menghi, and for the lighting design by one of the leading figures in the field: Piero Castiglioni. This renovation immediately earned a wide article in ‘Abitare‘, also as an example of form simplicity and practicality.
In more recent times, although still in perfect condition, there began to be a felt need to justify the decision to preserve the structure in all its precious original parts by envisioning a general intervention. An intervention that could make everyone understand the beauty residing not only in the uniqueness and particularity of the arrangement of the apartments, the lighting, or the windows overlooking the pine forest, but also in the furniture, still perfectly functional.
The intervention, under the guidance of designer Michele Gentini, fully respects the spirit of the place and aims to translate its history into a more comprehensible and contemporary code.
